Are you an experienced CNC Turner looking for a new opportunity within a high-precision engineering environment?
We're working with an established Lymington-based manufacturer supplying precision components and assemblies into sectors including aerospace, defence, nuclear, marine, oil & gas and telecommunications.
The role would suit an experienced CNC Turner who is confident setting and operating CNC lathes, with good knowledge of Mazak controls, technical drawings and machining processes.

What you'll be doing
You'll be responsible for setting and operating CNC lathes, ensuring components are manufactured safely, efficiently and to the required specification.
The role will involve:
Setting and operating CNC lathes
Working with Mazak controls
Using set-up sheets, job cards and work instructions
Interpreting technical drawings and GD&T
Working with a range of materials and component types
Ensuring components are produced to the required quality standards
Following customer specifications and stage drawings
Making appropriate adjustments during production
Working safely and following company procedures
Supporting continuous improvement within the machine shop
What we're looking for
We're looking for an experienced CNC Turner / CNC Turning Setter / CNC Machinist with a strong background in precision engineering.
You'll ideally have:
3+ years' CNC turning experience
Experience working with large components
3+ years' experience using Mazak controls
Strong CNC setting and operating skills
Programming knowledge would be advantageous
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Good understanding of GD&T
Experience working with different materials and machining applications
Ability to work from job cards, set-up sheets and work instructions
Recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship would be desirable
