Bowmill is currently seeking a skilled CNC Mill/Turn Setter & Operator to join their manufacturing team in Poole.
The Role
- Set and operate CNC Mill/Turn lathes using FANUC controls
- Manufacture precision components to customer drawings and specifications
- Inspect your own work to drawing and SPC requirements
- Ensure components meet quality, tolerance and customer requirements
- Maintain a high standard of engineering workmanship
- Follow company quality, health and safety procedures
- Maintain your work area to a high standard of 5S housekeeping
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience setting and operating CNC Mill/Turn machines
- Strong working knowledge of FANUC controls
- Experience within the aerospace industry is highly desirable
- Ability to inspect your own work using a range of measuring equipment
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
- Completed Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship preferred
- Experience with Nakamura machines and bar feeders would be advantageous but is not essential
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Working Hours
- Night shift core hours: 8:00pm - 3:00am
- Shift start times cannot be earlier than 4:00pm
- 39 hours per week
