Are you an experienced CMM Inspector looking for a new opportunity within a high-precision engineering environment?
We're working with an established Lymington-based manufacturer supplying precision components and assemblies into sectors including aerospace, defence, nuclear, marine, oil & gas and telecommunications.
The role will suit a CMM Inspector who is confident with CMM inspection, GD&T, engineering drawings and inspection documentation, with experience adjusting or proving out CMM programs.

Employee Assistance ProgrammeWhat you'll be doing
You'll be responsible for ensuring components are inspected accurately and efficiently against engineering drawings, specifications and required tolerances.
The role will involve:
Inspecting components using CMM and manual inspection methods
Adjusting and proving out CMM programs
Multiset CMMs when required
Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspections
Checking components against engineering requirements
Supporting production by ensuring inspection does not delay manufacturing
Completing inspection documentation, including PCPs, critical feature requirements and FAIR data
Raising non-conforming material and supporting corrective actions
Reviewing supplier documentation
Maintaining accurate inspection records and reportsWhat we're looking for
We're looking for someone with previous experience working as a CMM Inspector / CMM Programmer / CMM Operator within a high-precision manufacturing environment.
You'll ideally have:
3+ years' experience in a precision manufacturing environment
Strong CMM inspection experience
Good knowledge of GD&T
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and specifications
Experience adjusting or creating CMM inspection programs
Understanding of CMM best-practice techniques
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good IT skills, including Word and Excel
Experience with Mitutoyo CMMs / MCOSMOS would be desirable
PC-DMIS experience would be desirable
CMM training or programmer/operator trainingAn engineering apprenticeship, ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification would also be advantageous.
