Our Water contractor client is seeking a Sub Agent to support the successful delivery of Affinity Water projects based out of Rickmansworth on a permanent basis.
As a Sub Agent, you'll play a key role in managing civil engineering and construction projects, ensuring delivery against programme, budget, quality and safety targets while supporting Site Agents and Project Managers on larger schemes.

🔨 The Role
As a Sub Agent, you will be responsible for the successful management and delivery of civil engineering projects, maintaining high standards of Health & Safety 🦺, Quality ✅, Environmental Compliance 🌱 and Cost Control 💷 throughout the project lifecycle.
🌟 Key Responsibilities
✅ Maintain the commercial performance of contracts.
✅ Take responsibility for the successful delivery of allocated projects.
✅ Produce, manage and monitor project programmes to ensure successful delivery.
✅ Interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
✅ Provide technical engineering support to project teams.
✅ Ensure site personnel, subcontractors and visitors are appropriately inducted and competent for their roles.
✅ Act as a professional ambassador for the business when dealing with clients, stakeholders and the public.
✅ Deliver projects that exceed customer expectations. 🤝
✅ Produce accurate monthly reports for both clients and internal stakeholders.
✅ Chair weekly site meetings and drive project performance.
✅ Ensure all accurate "as-built" information is captured and recorded.
✅ Maintain full compliance with company procedures and statutory requirements.
✅ Develop positive working relationships with site teams and subcontractors.
✅ Oversee all HSEQ documentation and ensure compliance requirements are met. 🦺
✅ Conduct and manage daily, weekly and monthly inspections and audits.
✅ Liaise with local authorities, utilities and third-party stakeholders.
✅ Resolve resource and operational challenges proactively.
✅ Maintain accurate project records and resource tracking.
🎯 Skills, Experience & Qualifications
We're looking for an experienced civil engineering professional who thrives in a fast-paced infrastructure environment.
Essential
✔️ Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
✔️ CSCS Card.
✔️ SMSTS Certification.
✔️ NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.
✔️ Full UK Driving Licence. 🚗
✔️ Strong understanding of NEC contracts.
✔️ Experience with CDM Regulations, design management, programme management and cost control.
✔️ Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
✔️ Ability to challenge designs and drive engineering solutions.
✔️ Strong setting out and engineering fundamentals.
✔️ Experience managing project budgets, forecasts and reporting.
✔️ Knowledge of delivering projects within highly regulated design and construction environments.
Desirable
⭐ Temporary Works Co-ordinator qualification.
⭐ Confined Space Training.
⭐ Appointed Person CPCS Card.
⭐ Experience in trenchless technology and pipe jacking.
⭐ Experience delivering large-diameter water infrastructure projects. 💧
