Job Description
We are recruiting for an experienced Head Chef to join an established and growing event catering business.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on and commercially minded chef to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, supporting the delivery of high-quality food across a busy programme of events.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a high-volume event catering environment, managing a kitchen team and ensuring food is prepared, produced and delivered to consistently high standards.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the kitchen team across preparation and event production

Oversee the day-to-day running of the kitchen

Plan and organise food preparation for upcoming events

Ensure food is produced consistently to a high standard

Manage large-volume production and service

Monitor stock, ordering, food costs and wastage

Ensure all food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards are maintained

Train, motivate and develop kitchen staff

Work closely with the events and management teams

Ensure kitchens are organised and fully prepared for each event

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and kitchen organisation

Remain hands-on and lead by example during busy periods
About You
-
Previous experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef or Senior Sous Chef

Strong experience within event catering, contract catering or high-volume hospitality

Proven experience managing and developing a kitchen team

Comfortable with large-scale food production

Strong organisational and time-management skills

Excellent knowledge of food safety and HACCP

Commercially aware with experience managing food costs and wastage

Calm and effective under pressure
-
A hands-on leader with a genuine passion for food and hospitality

Flexible to work around the requirements of the events calendar
