Ecologist - Milton Keynes
An established and growing multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to bring an Ecologist into its Milton Keynes team. The role offers a varied mix of fieldwork, technical delivery and project involvement, working alongside ecologists and wider environmental professionals. The work will cover a broad range of development and land-use projects, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to build on their existing experience while taking on increasing responsibility.

What the role involves;
Undertaking habitat and protected species surveys across a variety of sites.
Producing Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, survey reports and other technical documentation.
Contributing to ecological assessments, mitigation and enhancement proposals.
Supporting projects from the early planning stages through to delivery.
Working alongside planners, landscape professionals, arboriculturists and other technical specialists.
Liaising with clients and project teams to provide practical ecological advice.
Developing technical knowledge across areas such as biodiversity net gain, protected species and habitat management.
The successful Ecologist will have the opportunity to get involved in different project types, work with specialists beyond ecology and develop commercially useful consultancy skills alongside their technical expertise. There is also room to progress. As the Milton Keynes team continues to grow, there is scope for the successful person to take on greater responsibility.
