Hours: 30 hours per week (9:00am – 3:00pm)
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour

About the Role
Our Client is seeking an organised and enthusiastic Events Assistant to join their team on a maternity cover contract. This is a varied and rewarding role that combines administration, customer service, and event support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of a busy events and venue management function, helping to coordinate bookings, liaise with customers, and ensure weddings, events, and community activities run smoothly from start to finish.
This position would suit an experienced administrator, customer service professional, or even a graduate looking to gain valuable hands-on experience in events and administration.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare agendas and supporting documentation.

Manage venue bookings and event schedules.

Liaise with hirers, suppliers, residents, and stakeholders.

Provide on-the-day support for weddings, functions, and community events.

Take accurate minutes and maintain records.

Manage correspondence and respond to enquiries professionally.

Assist with the coordination and delivery of events.

Support compliance with statutory and organisational requirements.

Help with the physical setup and preparation of event spaces when required.

Ensure a high standard of customer service is delivered at all times.
About You

Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Strong administrative and record-keeping abilities.

Comfortable speaking with customers, stakeholders, and event attendees.

Proactive, reliable, and adaptable approach to work.

Willingness to support both office-based administration and hands-on event setup.

Previous administrative or events experience would be advantageous.

Able to work occasional weekends when events require, with time off in lieu provided.
