THE ROLE
As an Experienced VDA / Estimator, you will be responsible for assessing accident-damaged vehicles, identifying the extent of repairs required and producing accurate, commercially viable estimates. You will work closely with customers, insurers and the wider bodyshop team to ensure repairs are planned and completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
·Assess accident-damaged vehicles and accurately identify the extent of repairs required
·Prepare detailed and accurate estimates using appropriate estimating systems
·Determine suitable repair methods, labour requirements and replacement parts
·Identify additional damage and prepare accurate supplements where required
·Liaise professionally with customers, insurers and other relevant stakeholders
·Work closely with Panel Technicians, MET Technicians and Paint Technicians to ensure estimates accurately reflect the required repairs
·Monitor vehicle repair progress and communicate any changes, delays or additional requirements
·Ensure estimating and repair processes follow manufacturer repair methods, quality standards and Health & Safety procedures
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for an experienced and technically knowledgeable VDA / Estimator who understands the accident repair process and can confidently assess vehicle damage and produce accurate estimates.
·Proven experience as a VDA, Vehicle Damage Assessor or Estimator within an accident repair/bodyshop environment
·Strong understanding of Panel, MET and Paint repair processes
·Good knowledge of vehicle construction, damage assessment and repair methods
·Experience using automotive estimating systems/software
·Ability to accurately assess damage, determine repair methods and identify additional work
·Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to liaise confidently with insurers and customers
·Excellent attention to detail with a commercially aware and organised approach
·Ability to work effectively within a busy, fast-paced bodyshop environment
·Professional, motivated and customer-focused approach
·IMI and/or ATA qualifications advantageous
·Full UK Driving Licence preferred
