Grade A Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive SEMH setting in North Norfolk.
The school is a small, welcoming specialist setting based in a characterful Victorian building, providing a calm and supportive environment for students who may require additional support with their social, emotional and mental health needs.
The Role

Supporting secondary-aged students with SEMH needs.

Providing 1:1 and small-group support.

Helping students engage positively with learning.

Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation.

Building positive and trusting relationships with students.
-
Working closely with teachers and the wider support team.

Encouraging students to develop confidence, independence and resilience.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:

Experienced working with SEMH, challenging behaviour or additional needs.

Confident supporting secondary-aged students.

Calm, patient and resilient.

Able to build strong relationships with young people.

Consistent and positive in their approach.

Passionate about helping students achieve their potential.
Previous experience within an SEN, SEMH, PRU, alternative provision, youth work or pastoral setting would be highly desirable.
