Are you an experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant looking for a role where communication, independence and individualised learning are central to the support you provide? - A specialist setting in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire is recruiting for a professional to support pupils aged 7-19, including young people working towards greater independence and preparation for adulthood.

Key Duties:
As part of the wider education team, you will:
Support learning
Assist pupils to access personalised learning activities
Reinforce teaching and communication strategies
Support literacy, phonics and functional learningSupport communication
Encourage pupils to communicate choices, preferences and needs
Use established communication approaches consistently
Support interaction with staff and peersSupport wellbeing
Recognise individual sensory and emotional needs
Follow agreed low-arousal approaches
Help create a safe and predictable learning environmentSupport independence
Encourage pupils to develop practical and life skills
Promote appropriate decision-making
Support physical development and participation in activities
Candidate Requirements:
You should have experience working with children, young people or adults with additional needs. Particularly relevant experience includes:
Complex SEN
PMLD
Autism
Communication difficulties
Sensory needs
Physical disabilities
Specialist education
Care or support workYou do not necessarily need previous experience of every approach used. What matters is the ability to learn individual strategies, work consistently and understand that every pupil's needs are different.
