We are currently working exclusively with an established rehabilitation charity to recruit a new Health and Safety Advisor to the business. This is a home-based role visiting sites around the North of England – offering you a lot of freedom, autonomy, and promoting a positive work-life balance. The focus of this position is to support sites to prepare for external audits and maintain a high level of safety and compliance.
Reporting to the National Health and Safety Manager, you will be part of a dedicated and experienced safety team. In this role you will:
Visit sites around the Northern region approximately twice a month in preparation for external ISO 45001 audits.
Provide health and safety guidance and advice to management and staff through site visits and remote support.
Ensure all health and safety processes and policies are in place and compliant with legislation, best practice, and business strategies.
Review safety reporting and provide regular reports on health and safety statistics and performance to management, giving recommendations on areas of focus.
Monitor reported incidents, supporting management and leading on investigations where appropriate.
Apply for this role if you have:
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Level 6 qualification.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work remotely and autonomously.
Previous experience in a similar field (charity, care, NHS, local government, support services) is highly desirable.
Understanding or experience of auditing and management systems.
Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to sites around the Northern region.
