Oversee daily workshop operations including load management and capacity planning to maximise productivity
Allocate work effectively according to technician skills and workload
Monitor and improve workshop efficiency and utilisation during each shift
Lead, motivate, and develop technicians through coaching and performance management
Manage workflow to ensure smooth job progression and minimise delays
Maintain high service quality standards and customer satisfaction
Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, warranty procedures, and health and safety regulations
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the workshop
Build strong working relationships with the service team to optimise customer experienceRequirements of a Workshop Controller:
Proven experience as a Workshop Controller within a franchised dealership environment
Demonstrable record of improving workshop productivity and efficiency
Strong understanding of workshop planning, labour management, and workflow optimisation
Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to motivate and influence a team of technicians
Knowledge of warranty processes and manufacturer systems is desirable
Previous management or leadership qualifications are advantageous
