An established engineering and manufacturing business in Somerset is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join its team. This is a hands-on role focused on developing, improving and optimising manufacturing processes and supporting the wider production operation.
The Role

Design, develop and improve manufacturing processes

Optimise manufacturing methods and production processes

Identify and implement improvements to efficiency, productivity, quality and cost

Provide practical engineering support to the manufacturing team

Investigate and resolve manufacturing and process issues

Work closely with the shop floor to implement improvements

Develop effective manufacturing methods and solutions

Support new and existing manufacturing processes
About You
-
Manufacturing, Process or Production Engineering experience

Strong background in one or more areas of machining, manufacturing, fabrication or engineering production

Practical, hands-on approach to manufacturing and process improvement

Able to identify and implement improvements across the shop floor

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles

Candidates who have progressed from a hands-on machining or fabrication background into an engineering position are encouraged to apply

Broad manufacturing knowledge with strong problem-solving skills
