Technical Trainer – Electrical | Stoke
A growing technical training team within the water and pumping industry is looking for an experienced electrical professional to join its academy in Stoke.
You'll use your hands-on electrical experience to train other electricians in installing, maintaining and fault-finding pumps and other electrical equipment.
This could suit an Electrical Supervisor, experienced Electrician or Electrical Engineer who knows three-phase motors and rotating equipment and enjoys passing that knowledge on.
What The Role Offers
£50,000 to £55,000 including Bonus + Benefits
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

What You Will Be Doing
Train electricians on how to safely install, operate, maintain and fault-find electrical pumps and associated equipment.
Work with everyone from new starters through to experienced electricians learning more advanced equipment and installations.
Help put together training for different equipment and keep track of what each electrician has been trained and signed off to work on.
Show electricians how new equipment works and make sure they understand the correct way to install, service and maintain it.
Work with equipment manufacturers and the company's technical teams to learn about new pumps and electrical products coming into the business.
Help write and update practical training guides, instructions and working procedures.
Use your own site experience to spot where training, working methods or equipment could be improved.
Feed common problems back to the technical teams so they can improve equipment, procedures and future training.
Skills & Experience Required
Strong hands-on background in industrial electrical engineering or electrical installation.
Level 3 Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Electrical Installation, Instrumentation or equivalent relevant experience.
Practical experience working with three-phase electric motors.
Experience with rotating equipment such as pumps, generators, turbines or similar industrial equipment.
Genuine site-based electrical experience.
Experience training, mentoring or developing other electricians or engineers.
Comfortable explaining technical information to people with different levels of experience.
Experience writing or contributing to technical instructions, procedures or training materials.
Experience with VSDs, PLCs, control systems, telemetry and electrical fault finding would be advantageous.
Good understanding of electrical health and safety and safe working practices.
