Business Analyst | Up to £50k | Construction | Birmingham, Birchwood or York
We’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join the Business Systems team of a leading organisation within the construction and housebuilding sector.
This is a great opportunity for a Business Analyst who enjoys working closely with stakeholders, improving business processes and helping deliver technology and systems change across a large organisation.
The Role
You’ll act as the link between business teams and technology teams, helping to understand business needs and turn them into practical solutions.
You’ll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from gathering requirements and analysing processes through to testing, implementation and business adoption.
Your responsibilities will include:
Gathering and documenting business requirements from key stakeholders
Running workshops to understand current processes and define future-state solutions
Creating BRDs, functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria
Mapping and analysing business processes to identify improvements and efficiencies
Working closely with technology, systems and delivery teams
Supporting solution design with your business and process expertise
Creating process maps, workflows and project documentation
Supporting test planning and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Helping with defect resolution, business sign-off and implementation
Supporting training, change management and business readiness
Managing requirements and documentation across multiple projects and workstreams
Job Requirements
Construction or housebuilding experience is essential.
Proven experience working as a Business Analyst within a construction, housebuilding or wider built environment organisation
Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder management experience
Experience documenting requirements, functional specifications and process maps
A track record of analysing and improving business processes
Experience with user stories, acceptance criteria and Agile or hybrid methodologies
Experience supporting UAT, including test scenarios and test cases
Excellent communication and workshop facilitation skills
The ability to work confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience managing multiple priorities and workstreams
Desirable Experience
COINS ER or similar construction-focused ERP systems
ERP implementation or business systems transformation
Commercial, procurement, finance or operational processes within construction/housebuilding
Third-party software providers and implementation partners
Process modelling tools and Business Analysis methodologies

£45,000 – £50,000 salary
Up to 12% annual bonus
One day a week in either the Birmingham, Birchwood or York office
