Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off – Days only, 8am–8pm

The Role
As an Electrical Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of electrical systems across a high-profile commercial site in Canary Wharf.
Your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance

Fault finding and diagnosing electrical issues
-
Responding to breakdowns and ensuring equipment is returned to service safely

Completing PPMs in line with the maintenance schedule
-
Monitoring and maintaining critical electrical systems

Carrying out routine inspections and testing
-
Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health & safety procedures

Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
-
Working closely with the wider engineering and facilities team

Supporting continuous improvement and reliability across the site
About You
We’re looking for an electrically qualified engineer with a strong maintenance background who is comfortable working within a commercial or critical environment.
You should have:

A recognised Electrical qualification such as NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds

Previous experience in a commercial building services, facilities or critical environment

Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance skills
-
Good understanding of electrical systems and building services
-
A proactive approach to maintenance and problem solving
-
Good communication and organisational skills
-
The ability to work independently as well as part of a wider engineering team
