Machine Manufacturing Technician
Technique Recruitment Solutions are working alongside a global machinery and product manufacturer who have a new opportunity for a Machine Technician to join their manufacturing team. The company offer an excellent benefits package and positive working environment. This will be working on a day shift Monday - Thursday (phone number removed)pm and Friday 8am -2pm
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Work as part of a flexible team using approved methods of assembly and testing to produce safe quality products
• Ensure safe working practices are adhered to and maintained at all times
• Process orders in line with Master Production Schedule/Work to List
• Complete sub-assembly and spares work orders as per requested date
• Maintain quality standards and associated reporting procedures
• Be proactive in the development of existing and new products and quality standards
• Maintain accurate records as specified by the Manufacturing Manager
• Provide assistance and support to other departments and personnel as required
• Liaise daily with Manufacturing Manager, discussing all relevant issues including drawing changes, BOM updates and manufacturing improvements.
• Collective responsibility for tooling and work methods within the department
• Maintain good order of the company property and general housekeeping
• Complete daily, weekly, monthly safety checks as required
• To abide by all statutory requirements including those relating to COSHH and health and safety.
• To adhere to and promote all current company policies and procedures in place
• Work within the department, or as part of cross functional teams to implement continuous improvement working towards World Class Manufacturing.
• To undertake any other reasonable task as directed by the Management team.
• Manage time productively and Efficiently

• Utilisation of Mango and solid works
Key Accountabilities
Performance
• Assemble machinery, sub‑assemblies, and components in line with engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions
• Interpret mechanical and electrical diagrams to ensure correct fit, form, and function
• Perform mechanical fitting, electrical wiring, pneumatic assembly, and system integration as required
• Carry out functional testing and validation checks to confirm performance meets specification
Efficiency & Workflow Management
• Work to defined build times, striving to improve workflow efficiency while maintaining quality
• Identify opportunities to streamline assembly processes, tooling, or setup routines
• Collaborate with colleagues across Production, Engineering, and Stores to ensure smooth build flow
• Process orders in line with Master Production Schedule/Work to List
• Complete sub-assembly and spares work orders as per requested date
Quality
• Ensure all builds meet internal quality standards and customer specifications
• Conduct in‑process inspections, reporting any non‑conformances or design issues promptly using Mango
• Complete quality checklists, and sign‑off sheets accurately and on time
• Participate in root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement activities to enhance build quality and reliability
Environmental Health Safety
• Pre-production safety checks
• Maintain a clean and organised working area in accordance to documented standards
• Adherence to all company safety procedures, risk assessments, safe systems of work and works instructions
• Use tools lifting equipment and PPE correctly at all times
• Near miss and incident reporting

• This job role requires use of the E1 platform to perform certain processes.
Qualifications
• NVQ Level2 in a relevant discipline. Basic PC knowledge, Windows, Microsoft Office, etc
• Maths, literacy and ability to read a basic engineering drawing
Experience
• Understanding of use of basic hand tools and assembly techniques
• Proven experience in a mechanical/electrical sub-assembly environment
Skills
• Basic maths and reasoning ability. Able to accurately understand, follow build procedures, schematics and engineering drawings.
• Ability to fault find and suggest improvements to current builds, procedures and communicate these to the team
