Maptalent Trades are currently recruiting for an experienced and fully accredited TIG Welder to join a major new-build data centre project in the Wirral.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled TIG Welder looking for long-term, consistent work on a high-profile construction project, working alongside a professional and multi-skilled site team.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for Class 2 welding works, with a particular focus on the installation and welding of 8-inch stainless-steel chilled-water pipework.
You will be required to consistently deliver high-quality welding to the required project specifications, while maintaining excellent standards of health and safety and working effectively alongside other trades.
Requirements
Applicants must have:

Proven and extensive experience as a TIG Welder

Strong experience working with stainless-steel pipework

Previous experience welding 8-inch stainless-steel chilled-water pipework

Experience undertaking Class 2 welding works

Relevant and current TIG welding qualifications/accreditation

A valid CSCS card

Previous experience working on commercial construction sites

Ability to read and work from technical drawings and isometric drawings

A strong understanding of site health & safety requirements

Excellent attention to detail and high standards of workmanship

Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-skilled team

Checkable references from previous construction/site-based employment
