A leading organisation is seeking experienced Wintel Engineers to support and maintain critical Microsoft infrastructure within a secure and highly regulated environment. This is a fully remote opportunity for professionals who thrive in enterprise-scale infrastructure support and operational excellence.
Your new role
As a Wintel Engineer, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance and support of Microsoft-based infrastructure, ensuring platform stability, security compliance, service availability and the successful delivery of infrastructure changes.
Key responsibilities
Administer and support Windows Server environments across physical, virtual and Azure platforms.
Support and maintain Azure Local solutions.
Manage Active Directory, PKI, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP services.
Perform server provisioning, patching, upgrades and lifecycle management.
Work with Microsoft System Centre technologies including Virtual Machine Manager, Configuration Manager, Operations Manager and Orchestrator.
Support VMware and Hyper-V virtualisation platforms.
Monitor system performance, capacity and availability.
Execute Incident, Problem and Change Management activities in line with ITIL processes.
Participate in Major Incident resolution and root cause analysis.
Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and runbooks.
Ensure compliance with security, governance and audit requirements.
Support disaster recovery and business continuity activities.

What you'll need to succeed
Essential skills and experience
Active SC Clearance (mandatory)
Strong Windows Server administration experience
Microsoft Azure infrastructure support experience
Knowledge and experience of Azure Local solutions
Active Directory administration
Experience with PKI, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP
Microsoft System Centre technologies including SCCM, SCOM, VMM and Orchestrator
VMware and Hyper-V virtualisation support experience
ITIL-based service management experience
Experience working within secure and highly regulated environments
Strong Incident, Problem and Change Management experience
Experience producing and maintaining technical documentation
