Job Description: We are currently seeking experienced Steel Fixers to join our construction team in London. As a Steel Fixer, you will play a crucial role in reinforcing and securing steel structures, ensuring the safety and stability of various construction projects.
Responsibilities:

Interpret and understand construction drawings, plans, and specifications.

Cut, bend, shape, and tie steel bars, mesh, and cables to reinforce concrete structures.

Install steel rebar cages, beams, columns, and other steel components according to project requirements.

Use hand and power tools to accurately position and secure steel reinforcements.

Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as engineers and supervisors, to ensure project specifications are met.

Adhere to all health and safety regulations on-site, promoting a safe working environment.
Requirements:

Previous experience as a Steel Fixer in the construction industry is essential.

Must hold a valid CSCS Card (Blue Steel Fixing Card advantageous).

Proficient in interpreting construction drawings and plans.

Knowledge of different steel fixing techniques and methodologies.

Familiarity with various hand and power tools used in steel fixing.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.

Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions.

- Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to determine the layout and dimensions of the structure
- Perform various tasks related to ironworking, including but not limited to:
- Concrete pumping
- Renovating structures
- Installing stucco
- Trim carpentry
- Drywall installation
- Flooring installation
- Caulking
- Restoring structures
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment as required for the job
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working on-site
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an ironworker or in a related field is preferred but not required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans accurately
- Proficient in various ironworking techniques and practices
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor as required
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions effectively
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies in the field
