Expression of Interest – SIA Licensed Security Patrollers (Rail Network).
We’re building a register of SIA-licensed security professionals to support operations across the UK rail network.
This role suits rail workers, experienced security operatives and ex-forces personnel who are confident working in high-visibility, safety-critical environments.
Location Coverage
Roles will be available across: East London
Assignments will primarily involve working at Network Rail locations and surrounding areas.
Role Purpose
As a Security Patroller, you will play a vital role in maintaining safety and security across the rail network. Key objectives include:

Providing a visible, reassuring presence to passengers and staff

Supporting efforts to prevent cable theft and infrastructure damage

Deterring and responding to trespass and vandalism

Assisting in suicide prevention and welfare interventions
-
Reporting incidents accurately using digital systems
Requirements
Essential:

Valid SIA Licence (Door Supervisor or Security Guarding)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Basic IT literacy (incident reporting, mobile apps, emails)

Professional, reliable, and able to work independently
Desirable:

PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification

Full UK driving licence

Previous experience in rail, security, or public-facing roles
