Regional Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Press Brake Operator to join a successful and growing sheet metal manufacturing company based in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience setting and operating CNC Press Brakes who is looking for a stable, long-term position within a skilled manufacturing team.
What's on Offer:
£14.00 - £16.50 per hour, depending on experience
Permanent, full-time position
Monday to Friday
Early shift: 6:00am - 2:00pm
Late shift: Monday to Wednesday 2:00pm - midnight, Thursday 2:00pm - 11:30pm
Friday off when working the late shift

Qualifications
Essential:
Previous experience setting and operating CNC Press Brakes
Experience working within a precision sheet metal or manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience using engineering measuring equipment, including vernier callipers
Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
Ability to work to production targets and deadlines
Reliable, organised and able to work effectively as part of a team
Desirable:
Experience working with different grades and thicknesses of sheet metal
Experience working with CNC machinery
Knowledge of fabrication and general manufacturing processes
Experience working within a busy production environment
Roles & Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC Press Brake machinery to manufacture precision sheet metal components.
Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure components are produced accurately and to specification.
Select the appropriate tooling and set machine parameters to achieve the required bends and dimensions.
Carry out dimensional checks using precision measuring equipment such as vernier callipers.
Inspect finished components to ensure they meet drawing specifications and quality standards.
Identify and report any defects or quality issues.
Maintain and use machinery and equipment correctly.
Ensure machines are operating efficiently and safely.
Maintain accurate and consistent production standards.
Work to production schedules and agreed deadlines.
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping within the production area.
Work closely with colleagues and support other members of the manufacturing team where required.
Follow all company Health & Safety procedures and policies.
Assist with other reasonable manufacturing duties across areas including Assembly, Machine Shop and Fabrication when required.

As a Press Brake Operator, you will also be expected to:
Work safely and responsibly within a busy production environment.
Handle, bend, lift and move sheet metal and steel materials as required.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area.
Take responsibility for the quality of your own work.
Work effectively under pressure and meet production deadlines.
Follow company procedures and Health & Safety requirements at all times.
Be flexible and willing to support the wider manufacturing team when required.
About the Role
This is a hands-on manufacturing position working within a production environment, where you will be responsible for producing high-quality, precision sheet metal components using CNC Press Brake machinery.
The role will involve regular bending, lifting and handling of sheet metal and steel materials, so a good level of physical fitness and a safety-conscious approach are required.
