Day Shift: £12.71 per hour

The Role
We are looking for reliable and motivated Production Operatives to join a busy manufacturing team in Team Valley, Gateshead. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced production environment, offering long-term opportunities for the right candidates.
Key Responsibilities

Operate plastic injection moulding machines, ensuring all products meet quality specifications.

Remove moulded plastic components from machines and carry out visual quality inspections.

Assemble products either independently or as part of a production line.

Trim excess plastic from moulded components using hand knives while wearing the appropriate PPE.

Apply labels and identification markings to finished products where required.

Pack products according to customer specifications, following packing instructions accurately.

Carry out regular quality checks to ensure products meet required standards.

Read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions and quality documentation.

Complete production paperwork and written records accurately.

Support other production activities as required, including assembly, packing, labelling, cleaning and maintaining a tidy work area during quieter periods.
What We're Looking For

Previous production or manufacturing experience is desirable but not essential.

Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Ability to follow written instructions and procedures.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Reliable, punctual and able to work a rotating 3-shift pattern.

Able to undertake manual handling tasks, including bending and standing for extended periods
