A reputable and long‑established machining company in Redditch is seeking an experienced CNC Sliding Head Setter/Operator to join their team. This permanent role offers competitive pay and overtime opportunities.
The successful candidate for the role of CNC Sliding Head Setter/Operator will be responsible for setting and operating CNC sliding head machines, with a key requirement for twin‑turret, twin‑spindle experience. Programming experience is ideal but not essential — however, strong sliding‑head setting/operating experience is required.
Duties and responsibilities of CNC Sliding Head Setter/Operator:

Set and operate CNC sliding head machines

Work confidently with twin‑turret, twin‑spindle configurations – essential

Carry out basic programming where required (full programming advantageous but not essential)

Focus on production of high-quality components

Maintain tooling, offsets, and machine condition throughout the shift

Occasional simple repeat change overs

Using measuring gauges
-
To produce components within the agreed standard time

Ability to read and interpret drawings

Working to tight tolerances and in process measurements

High precision tolerance works as well as volume

Quality control, working to customer specification

Previous experience setting and operating CNC sliding head machines

Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 07:00 – 16:00 Friday 07:00 – 12:00
Pay: Up to £16.50 per hour, dependent upon experience
