Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Location: Healthcare Facility, Surrey

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00

Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum

Overview

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Estates and Facilities team within a healthcare facility in Surrey. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a critical environment, supporting the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of building electrical systems across the site.

Working closely with the Estates Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring all electrical infrastructure is maintained to the highest standards, minimising downtime and ensuring full compliance with statutory regulations and healthcare facility requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on electrical systems and equipment across the site.
Diagnose faults and complete repairs in a timely and safe manner.
Ensure all electrical installations and systems comply with current regulations and healthcare standards.
Support compliance with statutory inspections, testing, and certification requirements.
Respond to emergency breakdowns and prioritise critical systems within a healthcare environment.
Maintain accurate records of all work carried out using relevant systems.
Liaise with contractors and internal teams to support the delivery of engineering works.
Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times, particularly within a live operational environment.

Requirements

Fully qualified Electrical Engineer (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (or current equivalent).
Proven experience in building services maintenance or a similar environment.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Previous experience within a healthcare or other critical environment is desirable.
