Rate: £600.00 - £620.00 per day (Inside IR35)
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Telford (Minimum 2 days per week onsite)
Clearance Required: BPSS (SC Eligible)
The Opportunity
We're looking for a skilled Java Engineer to join a major digital transformation programme focused on modernising legacy services and delivering improved, scalable solutions within a large-scale technology environment.
Working as part of an Agile Scrum team, you'll contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of modern Java-based applications, helping to drive the transformation of critical business systems.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Java applications using modern engineering practices.
Design and build scalable services using Spring Boot.
Write automated tests and contribute to a quality-first engineering culture.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, and Test Engineers within Agile delivery teams.
Support the modernisation of legacy applications and services.
Contribute to technical design discussions and code reviews.
Follow CI/CD and DevOps best practices to ensure reliable delivery.Essential Skills
