Job Description:
Are you passionate about supporting young people to improve their mental health, wellbeing and future prospects? We are recruiting a Wellbeing Practitioner to work with young people across Oldham based in the community and with home visit, providing tailored support that helps them build confidence, resilience and the skills needed to achieve positive outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team focused on empowering young people aged 16-19 (up to 25 with an EHCP) to overcome barriers and progress into education, employment or training.
The role involves:
Delivering one-to-one and small group wellbeing support to young people.
Using creative and therapeutic approaches to improve mental health and resilience.
Assessing needs and developing personalised support plans.
Working collaboratively with families, schools and external agencies.
Encouraging engagement with services that support progression into education, employment and training.
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring safeguarding best practice.You'll need:
A Level 3 qualification in a relevant field such as Mental Health, Health & Social Care or Psychology.
Experience supporting young people and families in a therapeutic or wellbeing setting.
Strong assessment, planning and relationship-building skills.
Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches and safeguarding practices.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A flexible approach and willingness to travel across the local area.
An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
