Experienced Part 2 Architectural Assistant

Salary: £30-36,000
An established, design-focused architectural practice in Marlow is seeking an Experienced Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join its friendly and collaborative studio. The practice delivers high-quality bespoke residential and commercial projects and is looking for a talented, motivated individual with strong design and technical abilities who is keen to take on greater responsibility and develop their career within a supportive practice environment.

Support for continued professional development and progression towards qualificationDay-to-day responsibilities:
Develop and produce high-quality architectural drawings, plans, elevations, sections and presentation material throughout the design process
Contribute confidently to concept development, design studies, material palettes and architectural detailing
Assist with the development of projects from feasibility and concept through to planning, building regulations and technical design
Prepare and coordinate planning and building control submissions, ensuring drawings and supporting information are accurate and well presented
Produce mood boards, diagrams, visualisations and other client-facing presentation material
Assist with technical packages, schedules, specifications and basic cost information
Attend site visits, recording progress and assisting with the resolution of design and technical issues
Support coordination with consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders
Participate in internal design reviews, project meetings and collaborative workshops
Undertake research into materials, construction methods, detailing, planning requirements and UK regulations
Take ownership of allocated tasks, managing workload effectively and delivering work to agreed deadlines
Support project architects and contribute proactively to the wider studioRequirements:
ARB/RIBA Part 2 architectural qualification
Relevant professional experience within a UK architectural practice, ideally across residential and/or commercial projects
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is essential
Good working knowledge of UK planning, building regulations and construction practices
Experience developing architectural designs from concept through to technical stages
Strong understanding of architectural detailing, materials and construction methods
Excellent drawing, presentation and visual communication skills
Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, well-considered work
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and work to deadlines
A collaborative and proactive approach, with the confidence to contribute ideas and take responsibility for assigned work
Good communication skills and the ability to work positively with colleagues, clients, consultants and contractors
A genuine interest in high-quality design and the delivery of carefully considered architecture
