Our key client is looking for a Controls & Compliance Analyst on a temporary basis for 3 months to support the Finance Director and regional finance teams across controls, compliance and continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take ownership of key controls and compliance activities while working across multiple regions and supporting improvements to financial processes.
The Role
The successful candidate will take the lead on financial controls, compliance and process improvement, ensuring consistency and high standards across the business.
The role will work closely with the Finance Director and regional finance teams, providing guidance, oversight and practical support to ensure financial controls are maintained and reporting deadlines are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Leading controls improvement projects and ensuring consistency across regions.
Monitoring compliance with financial controls and reporting frameworks.
Preparing quarterly controls review presentations and following up on actions.
Overseeing key finance processes including balance sheet reconciliations, reviews and inventory counts.
Supporting finance and production teams with high-quality inventory processes.
Leading the statutory year-end close process and supporting/training the finance team.
Supporting key financial processes including statutory accounting, tax submissions, insurance returns, R&D tax claims and other reporting requirements.
Identifying and implementing improvements to ERP and financial systems.
Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen controls and deliver cost savings.
Building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and providing practical advice and solutions.
About You
Our client is looking for someone who is confident, independent and commercially minded, with strong experience in financial controls and compliance.
Ideally, you will have:
Experience working with financial controls and control frameworks.
A strong understanding of finance processes and reporting.
AAT part-qualified or fully qualified status is desirable.
Excellent attention to detail.
The ability to take ownership and accountability.
Excellent communication skills.
The confidence to work independently and influence stakeholders.
Experience of process improvement would be advantageous.
What Our Client Offers
£35,000 – £45,000 salary, depending on experience
12-week temporary contract with potential extension up to 11 months
Hybrid working
Typically 3 days per week in the office, based in either Kings Lynn or Peterborough.
A varied role covering controls, compliance and process improvement.
