An excellent opportunity has arisen for a mechanically skilled Field Service Engineer to join one of the world’s most reputable manufacturers of high-quality process machinery.
Working with advanced industrial homogenisers and homogenisation technology, you will service, maintain and repair specialist equipment used across industries including food, beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing.
This is a field-based position covering Yorkshire and the surrounding areas, with regular travel and occasional overnight stays. With door-to-door travel pay, overtime and bonuses, total earnings are expected to exceed £60,000 per year.

The role
You will support customers throughout Yorkshire and the surrounding region, ensuring their homogenisation equipment continues to operate safely, efficiently and reliably.
Your responsibilities will include:

Servicing, maintaining and repairing industrial homogenisers at customer sites

Diagnosing mechanical faults and completing effective repairs

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown work

Inspecting equipment and advising customers on performance, reliability and equipment life

Preparing the correct parts, tooling and equipment ahead of each visit

Completing accurate service reports and keeping customers informed throughout the work

Building strong relationships with customer engineering and production teams
About you
You will be a hands-on engineer with strong mechanical knowledge and experience maintaining or repairing industrial machinery.
Ideally, you will have:

A City & Guilds qualification in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification

Strong mechanical engineering, servicing and fault-finding skills

Experience working with process machinery, rotating equipment, pumps, valves, compressors or similar industrial equipment

Previous field service or customer-site experience

Electrical knowledge or fault-finding ability, although this is not essential

A good understanding of workplace health and safety

Experience using lifting and slinging equipment safely

The ability to work independently, methodically and to a consistently high standard

Strong customer-facing and communication skills
Direct experience with homogenisers would be advantageous, but engineers from other relevant industrial machinery or process-equipment backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
