Catering Assistant / Cook
Location: Outdoor Activity Centre
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: 5 days out of 7, including weekend work on a rota basis
Shifts: 7.5-hour shifts between 7:30am and 7:30pm
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant/Cook to join our friendly catering team at a busy outdoor activity centre. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in catering, with full training provided and opportunities to develop skills across the wider business.
You will support the preparation and cooking of meals for school residential groups, corporate team-building events and activity centre visitors. Weekend shifts typically involve preparing and serving café-style food such as paninis, jacket potatoes and light refreshments.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing and cooking meals for residential school groups and corporate visitors.
Assisting with menu preparation and food service.
Preparing café-style food including paninis, sandwiches, jacket potatoes and other light meals.
Ensuring excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards are maintained.
Supporting with stock rotation, deliveries and food storage.
Working closely with the wider catering team to provide an efficient and friendly service.
Following all health and safety and food safety procedures.
Assisting with kitchen cleaning and end-of-shift duties.
What We're Looking For
Food Hygiene Certificate (essential).
Passion for food and providing excellent customer service.
Ability to work well as part of a small team.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Flexibility to work weekends on a rota basis.
Previous catering or kitchen experience would be beneficial but is not essential as full training will be provided.

Additional Information
