HGV Class 1 Driver – Temp to Perm – £18–£20 per Hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday, plus every other Saturday
Pay: £18.00 per hour | £20.00 overtime

We are recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver (Cat C+E) to join our client’s busy and professional operation in Chessington.
This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity, with the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful 12-week trial period. You will be responsible for the safe and professional delivery of medicines as part of a dedicated transport team.
Pay and working hours

Monday to Friday: 05:00–16:00

Every other Saturday: 05:00 start, half-day shift

Standard rate: £18.00 per hour – Advanced PAYE

Overtime after 40 hours: £20.00 per hour

Saturday shifts: £20.00 per hour

Weekly pay throughout the 12-week trial period
Your responsibilities

Safely and professionally deliver medicines

Complete all required vehicle and delivery checks

Keep your allocated vehicle clean and tidy

Provide a reliable and professional service

Work effectively with the transport team, customers and colleagues

Represent the company positively at all times
Essential requirements
-
Valid HGV Class 1 / Cat C+E licence

Licence held for at least two years

Minimum two years’ Class 1 driving experience

Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card

Good written and spoken English

Reliable, punctual and presentable

Comfortable working the scheduled hours and alternate Saturdays

Flexible, professional and willing to support a busy operation

Able to successfully complete the client’s driving assessment before starting
