An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a fast-growing global cosmetics and beauty business in a newly created Technical & Regulatory Information role.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Chemistry, Cosmetic Science or related Science graduate looking to build a career within the beauty industry. You don't need years of regulatory experience - we're interested in someone with a strong scientific understanding, excellent attention to detail and a genuine interest in how cosmetic products are formulated, tested and brought to market.
Working closely with the wider Regulatory and Compliance team, you'll play an important role in ensuring product information is accurate, complete and ready for products to launch across international markets.
The Role
Gathering and reviewing technical information including formulas, ingredient/INCI details, product claims and testing information
Supporting the creation and maintenance of Product Information Files (PIFs) for cosmetic products
Liaising with external laboratories and regulatory partners to request documentation and track progress
Coordinating information from suppliers and overseas manufacturing partners, ensuring data is complete, accurate and up to date
Maintaining product certification information, including areas such as vegan and cruelty-free certification
Supporting product notifications and registrations across relevant cosmetic regulatory platforms
Organising and maintaining technical and regulatory databases and documentation
Developing your knowledge of cosmetic legislation, ingredients, product safety and regulatory requirements across different markets
Supporting the wider Technical & Regulatory team with product launches, projects and general compliance activity
About You
A degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry or another relevant scientific discipline - industry experience is advantageous
A genuine interest in cosmetics, beauty products, ingredients and formulations
The ability to understand and interpret scientific/technical information
Excellent organisation skills and strong attention to detail
A methodical approach to handling large amounts of information and documentation
Confident communication skills, particularly when liaising with suppliers and external partners
Good Excel and general IT skills
Someone proactive, curious and keen to learn and develop within the cosmetics industry
