Junior Commercial Consultant
Summary We are seeking a Junior Commercial Consultant to join a multidisciplinary team in Dublin. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in transport infrastructure projects who are passionate about supporting complex contract and cost management activities. You’ll work closely with senior team members and contribute to ensuring compliance, value for money, and effective delivery.
Location and Working Pattern
Based in Dublin, Ireland. Typically 2–3 days a week on-site, subject to Client requirements.

Our client delivers major infrastructure services and solutions, ensuring operational excellence and compliance with the highest industry standards.
Responsibilities
Support the Commission Manager with budget and cost management activities, including preparing estimates and verifying payment requests.
Assist in assessing and validating Contractor payment applications to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper record-keeping.
Participate in contract management, administration, and performance monitoring activities.
Prepare draft responses for formal correspondence related to contract issues.
Carry out periodic audits, site inspections, and compliance checks for operations and maintenance activities.
Assist in the preparation and administration of Task Orders, Compensation Events, and variation notices.
Support commercial evaluations of Contractor submissions and review PPP Design and Design Check Certificates.
Contribute to traffic data collection and analysis for operational reporting.
Provide technical advice and monitor compliance with tunnel safety obligations across the network.
Attend and review emergency exercises, both live and tabletop, for operational readiness.
Must‑have Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ post‑graduate experience in transport infrastructure projects.
At least 3 years’ experience overseeing and monitoring operations and maintenance activities.
Driving licence.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Level eight qualification (or equivalent) in civil, structural, mechanical or electrical/electronic engineering, or an equivalent qualification in quantity surveying, cost management or contract management.
Nice‑to‑have Skills
Knowledge and experience in NEC4 and PPP contract administration.
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
