We are currently recruiting for two Diagnostic Technicians to join a leading automotive operation in Grimsby. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced vehicle technicians looking to join a professional and fast-paced workshop environment, working on a wide range of vehicles destined for wholesale remarketing.

The Role
As a Diagnostic Technician, you will be responsible for assessing vehicle faults, carrying out diagnostics, and completing mechanical repairs to ensure vehicles meet the required standards for resale.
Working as part of a skilled team, you will undertake a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks while ensuring jobs are completed efficiently, safely and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical and electrical vehicle faults.
Carry out repairs in line with manufacturer and company-approved methods.
Complete a range of mechanical repairs including:
Cambelt replacements
Clutch replacements
Wheel alignment
Brake repairs
Suspension repairs
General wear and tear repairs
MOT failure rectification work
Accurately identify repair requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
Work efficiently to meet productivity targets and repair deadlines.
Escalate issues where repairs are not viable or more cost-effective alternatives are available.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard with excellent attention to detail.
Complete all job cards and documentation accurately.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Follow all workshop procedures, quality standards and health & safety requirements.
Support the wider team and undertake additional duties as required.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, IMI or equivalent).
Previous experience as a:
Diagnostic Technician
Vehicle Technician
Vehicle Mechanic
Mobile Technician
Roadside Recovery Mechanic
HGV Technician/Mechanic
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Experience completing a broad range of mechanical repairs.
Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Full UK or EU Driving Licence.
Ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles.
