We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable Plumbing-Biased Multi-Trader to join our reactive maintenance team, carrying out repairs and maintenance works across social housing properties throughout London.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing and drainage, combined with good multi-trade skills and the ability to undertake a variety of general maintenance and repair works.
You will be responsible for attending reactive maintenance jobs, diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
This is a customer-facing role, so a professional attitude, good communication skills and the ability to work respectfully within residents' homes are essential.
Responsibilities

Attend reactive maintenance jobs across various social housing properties throughout London.

Carry out plumbing and drainage repairs as the primary trade, including fault finding, repairs, maintenance and replacement works.

Ideally have strong experience in another trade such as Groundwork, Locksmithing, Glazing, Plastering, Decorating, General maintenance

Diagnose faults and determine the most appropriate repair solution.

Complete works efficiently and minimise the need for return visits wherever possible.

Use a PDA/mobile device to receive and update jobs, record works undertaken, upload photographs and complete job reports in real time.

Ensure all works comply with relevant health and safety requirements, company procedures and client standards.

Maintain a high standard of workmanship across all repairs.

Communicate professionally with residents, clients, supervisors and the scheduling team.

Identify any additional works or defects and report them clearly to management. Work independently while managing a daily workload and prioritising reactive repairs effectively.
Experience

Strong practical plumbing and drainage experience.

Competent across a range of additional maintenance trades.

Previous experience in reactive maintenance is preferred.

Full UK driving licence – essential.

Ability to use a PDA/mobile device for job management and reporting.

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills, good communication and customer service skills.

Professional and respectful approach when working in residents' homes.

Ability to work independently and manage a daily workload effectively.

Reliable, punctual and able to work to agreed timescales.

Good attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
