We are working on behalf of our client, an established independent automotive service centre in the Shaftesbury region, to recruit a MOT Technician. This is an excellent MOT Technician opportunity for a skilled professional seeking a role within a reputable, family-run garage with outstanding customer reviews. The successful individual will join a dedicated workshop team and contribute to delivering high-quality vehicle maintenance and repairs.
The MOT Technician role offers a competitive salary of up to £42,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 5:30pm, with the possibility of optional overtime. Benefits include 32 days of annual leave, a workplace pension scheme, in-house technical training, and development opportunities. The role is ideal for an individual committed to high standards, with a valid MOT licence and relevant experience post-qualification.

Carry out fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles
Conduct MOT testing as an active MOT licence holder
Accurately diagnose vehicle faults and report on vehicle condition, safety, and performance
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards
Work efficiently within a busy workshop environment, meeting set targets
Maintain high standards of work quality and customer satisfactionRequirements of a MOT Technician:
Active MOT licence and relevant technical qualifications
Several years’ post-qualification experience as a MOT Technician
Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
Strong mechanical aptitudes and attention to detail
Ability to produce high-quality work consistently
