Schedule: Monday To Friday 8am- 5pm with an occasional Saturday rota

The company is recruiting for an experienced Panel Beater to join our team on a full-time basis, repairing and restoring damaged vehicle panels to manufacturer standard.
Responsibilities:

Repair and restore damaged vehicle panels to original condition, in line with manufacturer and BS 10125 repair standards

Remove dents, scratches and other imperfections from vehicle panels

Use hand and power tools to shape, smooth and finish repaired panels

Assemble and disassemble vehicle parts and trim as needed for panel repair

Weld, braze and bond metal and mixed-material (steel/aluminium) components to repair or replace damaged sections

Work with structural adhesives and modern jointing techniques used on late-model vehicles

Use jig and measuring systems to restore vehicle geometry to manufacturer specification

Identify and flag ADAS sensor locations and calibration requirements ahead of paint and reassembly

Carry out routine equipment repairs and maintenance

Follow all workshop health & safety procedures and guidelines at all times

Liaise with estimators/service advisors and provide excellent customer service
Skills & Experience:
-
Proven experience as a panel beater / vehicle damage panel technician in a Bodyshop environment

Proficient with hand tools, power tools and panel/jig measuring systems (e.g. Celette, Car-O-Liner, Chief or similar)

Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of modern vehicle construction, including mixed-material bodies

Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical/repair method drawings

Experience with MIG welding, MIG brazing and metal fabrication techniques

High attention to detail and a consistently low rework rate

Physical fitness for heavy lifting and prolonged standing/bending
Qualifications:

Level 3 NVQ / IMI Vehicle Damage Panel Technician qualification (Required)

ATA Accreditation (Vehicle Body & Paint) — Required

EV/hybrid repair awareness — desirable

Full UK driving licence — Required
