Typical duties

Booking in materials: Checking incoming components against purchase or delivery documents.

Putting stock away: Allocating products to the correct stores locations.

Issuing components: Picking and supplying materials needed by manufacturing teams.

Controlling inventory: Recording stock movements accurately using the relevant system.

Stocktaking: Completing routine counts and investigating discrepancies.

Monitoring shortages: Highlighting low stock, missing parts or damaged materials.

Maintaining traceability: Making sure components are correctly labelled and identifiable.
Best candidate profile
Someone who is organised, numerate, computer-literate and highly accurate. Stores, inventory, stock-control or parts-department experience would be especially relevant
