We are currently recruiting for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join a well-established engineering manufacturer based in Sandy, Bedfordshire.
This is a permanent, workshop-based position offering long-term stability, a competitive hourly rate and regular overtime opportunities.
The Role:

TIG and MIG welding of stainless steel

Fabricating components and assemblies from engineering drawings

Working with stainless steel from approximately 1mm–12mm thickness
-
Pipework and purge welding
-
Cutting, forming, grinding and finishing components
-
Operating fabrication and sheet metal machinery
-
Working accurately to tolerances and specifications

Carrying out quality checks on completed work

Maintaining high standards of workmanship and Health & Safety
The Candidate:
-
Previous experience as a Welder / Fabricator

Strong TIG welding experience

Stainless steel fabrication experience
-
Ability to read and work from engineering drawings

Experience using fabrication and workshop machinery

Good attention to detail and quality
-
City & Guilds, NVQ or apprenticeship in Welding/Fabrication would be advantageous
Package:

Up to £20.00 per hour depending on experience
