Pastoral Personal Development Tutor
We are currently recruiting for a Full-Time Pastoral / Personal Development Tutor to join a college on a long-term, ongoing temporary basis.
Role details:
The role will focus on supporting 16–19-year-old learners with their personal development, wellbeing, attendance, behaviour and progression. You will act as a key point of contact for students, providing pastoral guidance, delivering tutorials and supporting learners through 1:1 meetings.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is confident, approachable and passionate about supporting young people. Previous experience within a college, school, training provider or youth setting would be highly beneficial.
Experience in pastoral support, personal development, mentoring, tutoring, safeguarding, attendance or behaviour support is particularly desirable.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver group tutorials covering personal development, safeguarding, careers, wellbeing and study skills.

Provide 1:1 pastoral support and set SMART targets with learners.

Monitor attendance, behaviour, engagement and academic progress.

Identify barriers to achievement and put appropriate support and interventions in place.

Support vulnerable learners and work alongside internal support teams and external agencies.

Build positive relationships with learners, parents/carers and college staff.

Support learners with progression into further education, employment or apprenticeships.

Maintain accurate records of learner progress, attendance and interventions
