Westwood Recruitment are currently working with a leading company to recruit an experienced Production Engineer in Milton Keynes. As a Production Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance and maintenance of high-speed printing, inserting and ancillary production equipment used to deliver critical documents for customers.
Key Responsibilities

Set up, maintain and optimise production machinery in line with defined operating standards.

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) within agreed timescales and in accordance with health and safety requirements.

Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns, carrying out fault diagnosis and repairs.

Undertake hands-on analysis and structured problem solving to identify and resolve equipment issues.

Support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the production environment.

Maintain high standards of accuracy, reliability and equipment performance.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production and engineering targets.

Ensure all engineering activities are carried out with appropriate consideration for confidentiality, data security and workplace safety.
Experience & Qualifications

Recognised engineering qualification, minimum NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or HNC equivalent

Demonstrable experience in multi-skilled maintenance engineering

Previous experience working within a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment

5+ years experience in Engineering, particularly within FMCG, pharmaceuticals or other high-speed manufacturing environments

Electrical fault-finding experience

Knowledge of COSHH, Health & Safety and environmental procedures

Experience working within a highly regulated production environment
