Workshop-based role involving large-scale structural steel fabrication.
Responsibilities
-
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 8:00am–5:00pm; Friday, 8:00am–2:30pm. Breaks include 20 minutes unpaid and 30 minutes paid.

Fabricate structural steel beams within a busy workshop environment.

Carry out MIG welding to a high standard.

Work with structural steel components ranging from approximately 0.5 tonnes to 100 tonnes.

Read, interpret and work accurately from detailed Tekla drawings and technical specifications.

Ensure fabricated components meet required quality and project standards.

Follow safe working practices and maintain a clean, organised workshop environment.
Requirements

Proven experience in MIG welding

Previous experience fabricating structural steel beams.

Ability to confidently read and interpret Tekla drawings.

Strong understanding of detailed engineering and fabrication drawings.

Experience working with heavy structural steel is highly desirable.

Good attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship.

Ability to work safely and effectively as part of a workshop team
