We are looking for a skilled HGV Technician / Mechanic to join our clients team near Croydon, London. This is a permenant position.
45 hours per week | Monday to Friday
£45,000 - £50,300 per year DOE.
The Person:

NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance (or time served).

Proven experience in commercial vehicle repair and servicing.

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, with knowledge of electronics and hydraulics.

Ability to read wiring diagrams and use workshop IT systems.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Willingness to travel across the UK and work overtime or on a callout rota when required.

Comfortable working in confined spaces and occasionally lifting heavy items.
The Role:

Diagnose and repair faults on chassis and mounted equipment.

Prepare vehicles for MOT and ensure compliance with Department of Transport specifications.

Carry out body and chassis repairs and complete all work to company standards.

Maintain accurate records and enter job details into the DE computer systems.

Liaise with customers professionally and ensure timely completion of scheduled maintenance.

Adhere to all health and safety procedures and conduct risk assessments where required.

Support quality assurance processes and contribute to continuous improvement.
