We are currently recruiting on behalf of an established and growing fire & Security business for an experienced Small Works Engineer to join their team.
The role will predominantly involve small electrical works, emergency lighting installations and replacements, and the installation/replacement of fused spurs, with the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial projects. You will be expected to travel to sites within London/M25
The ideal candidate will be a skilled and reliable electrician who is comfortable working independently and representing the company professionally when working on client sites.
Key Responsibilities

Installation, replacement and maintenance of emergency lighting systems

Installation and replacement of fused spurs

Carrying out general electrical small works

Electrical fault finding and basic diagnostics

Testing and inspection of completed works

Completing relevant paperwork and job sheets accurately

Identifying additional works and reporting requirements to management

Working to current electrical regulations and company standards

Liaising professionally with clients and site contacts
-
Maintaining a high standard of health & safety at all times

Travelling to various commercial sites as required
Desirable Experience
Ideally, you will have experience with:

Emergency lighting – installation, replacement and testing

Fused spurs and general small electrical works
-
Commercial electrical installations
-
Fault finding
-
Fire alarm systems – installation, maintenance or basic fault finding would be highly advantageous

Working independently across multiple client sites
Essential Requirements

Qualified electrician with relevant electrical qualifications

18th Edition Wiring Regulations
-
ECS Gold Card
-
Full UK Driving Licence
-
Previous experience within a commercial electrical environment

Good understanding of electrical health & safety requirements

Professional approach and good communication skills

Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
