The Role
We are looking for a commercially minded Buyer to join our Procurement team. Reporting to the Strategic Purchasing Manager, you will ensure the timely and cost-effective supply of materials and services to support our manufacturing operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Buyer with strong supplier management and negotiation skills who thrives in a fast-paced engineering environment. Responsibilities include:

Source materials, components, and services to meet business needs.

Obtain quotes and negotiate prices, lead times, and supplier agreements.

Raise and manage purchase orders using the ERP system.

Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.

Ensure materials are available to support production.

Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve supplier performance.

Resolve supply, quality, and invoice issues.

Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Finance teams.

Keep purchasing records accurate and up to date.

Support continuous improvement within the Procurement team.
The Candidate
-
Purchasing experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
-
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
-
Good commercial awareness and budget control.

Experience using ERP/MRP systems.

Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.

Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

CIPS level 4 or working toward (Desirable)

The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The Benefits
