Location: Workshop based in Maidstone, Kent with travel to commercial sites across Kent, Sussex & Surrey
Salary: Up to £52,000 DOE
Hours: 45 hours per week

The Opportunity
An established mechanical contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Welder / Pipefitter to join its growing team. This is a varied role combining workshop fabrication with site-based stainless steel pipefitting across a range of commercial projects.
You'll split your time between the company's fully equipped workshop in Maidstone and customer sites throughout Kent, Sussex and Surrey, working on high-quality mechanical installations within sectors including education, healthcare and commercial office environments.

The Role

Carry out MIG and TIG welding within the workshop.

Fabricate stainless steel pipework and associated components.

Install and fit stainless steel pipework on commercial sites.

Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication details.

Measure, cut, prepare and assemble pipework to specification.

Complete installation work to a high standard of quality and safety.

Work both independently and as part of a mechanical installation team.

Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment in both workshop and on-site locations.
Experience Required

Previous experience as a Welder / Pipefitter.

Strong MIG and TIG welding experience.

Experience fabricating and installing stainless steel pipework.

Able to read and work from engineering drawings.

Commercial mechanical installation experience.

Full UK Driving Licence.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Desirable

Experience working within education, healthcare or commercial buildings.

CSCS Card.

IPAF or PASMA (advantageous but not essential).
