Site Engineer – HS2 (Major Earthworks Contractor)
Location: Aylesbury

The Role You will support large‑scale earthworks delivery on HS2, including bulk excavation, haul roads, drainage, structures, and temporary works. This is a hands‑on engineering role with strong progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities

Setting‑out for earthworks, drainage, utilities, and structures

Daily QA checks, ITPs, as‑built records, and technical documentation

Supporting Section Engineers/Sub Agents with planning and coordination

Working closely with survey teams and GPS machine control systems

Ensuring compliance with HS2 specifications, environmental controls, and safety standards

Contributing to progress reporting and short‑term planning
Requirements

Degree/HND in Civil Engineering or similar
-
Experience in earthworks, highways, or heavy civils
-
Strong understanding of digital engineering and GPS equipment
-
Ability to work across multiple work fronts in a fast‑paced environment

Strong communication and organisational skills
