Are you an experienced Production/Manufacturing Engineer. Our client is currently recruiting an experienced Production/Manufacturing Engineer. Reporting to the Engineering Director, the role of Production/Manufacturing Engineer provides a support function to all areas of production of the business.
Role responsibilities:

Transfer and embed best practice
-
Act as the manufacturing engineering authority on the shopfloor

Lead lean improvement, problem-solving, and line balancing activities
-
Drive cost, quality, safety, and waste reduction through CI culture
-
Provide Design for Manufacture input and manage engineering changes
-
Create standard operations, work instructions, and balance charts
-
Support cross-functional project execution
-
Ensure full compliance with EHS and quality standards
What we’re looking for
-
Strong experience with machining/tooling (e.g., CNC turning and milling) (knowledge of Grinding would be an advantage)

Experience in a manufacturing engineering role – experience with tool management
-
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment

Strong problem-solving skills

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and tolerances

Knowledge of CAM software and CNC programming
-
3D Modelling – preferably Creo
-
Creating BOMs and routings
-
Experience in fixture design
