HGV Workshop Technician / Mechanic – Nights

Due to continued growth, we are currently recruiting for an experienced and highly motivated HGV Workshop Technician / Mechanic to join our busy and professional workshop team based in Weeford.

Shift Pattern
The Role
Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Servicing and maintaining a fleet of approximately 90 vehicles and 30 trailers

Carrying out fault diagnostics and identifying mechanical and electrical issues

Preparing vehicles for MOT inspections

Completing weekly and monthly vehicle safety checks

Performing mechanical and electrical repairs efficiently and safely

Ensuring all work is completed to high maintenance and compliance standards
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

Previous experience in a similar HGV, commercial vehicle, or heavy plant environment

NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent qualification preferred

Time-served technician experience considered

Strong diagnostic and repair skills

Experience working on DAF, Volvo, MAN and Renault vehicles

A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently as part of a nightshift team
